One of the best ways to remember your times
afield, is to keep a journal of what you see.
Often, journals contain field sketches.
Sketches and memory are my only reference
tools when doing artwork.
It's awful nice to go back through the journals
and read them, and all of a sudden you remember
a day you had long forgot.
